Icons of Rotterdam's cultural heritage

At the edge of the Kralingse Plas lake overlooking the skyline of Rotterdam, Stadsherstel Rotterdam is preserving an historic complex that includes two beautiful spice mills and dependent houses. Volunteers keep the mills running and give tours in De Ster, where visitors can see museum pieces as well as working components which still help to produce various herbs and spices. As part of the renewal process, two new apartments are now available for short-term stays in one of the most fascinating parts of the city.
